Just got the rejection letter from the 12th man. It said that accounts with a priority point rank of approximately 7,335 or higher secured tickets. I was #7,345 on the snapshot day of 11/13.

So if anyone has extras, I'd like to buy them please. I'm taking Aggie daughter, soon to be Aggie SIL, and Aggie son. Already have plane and hotel arrangements.

Can't believe I was so close.

The cut off was 7335, I wasn't even close.
But we got a good price on TickPick and I was able pick up 3, No Fee's.

Tickets to the game check
Flights check
Hotel check

Next Step: Samford

Then wait for our #3 in the Nation, Take Over Stadiums, come from behind Fighting Texas Aggies to Saw Varsity's Horns Off.

I'd imagine the cutoff for playoff tickets will be even lower

Yes and no.

If you do the math, the average account holder ordered just over 2 tickets. Some ordered none, some ordered eight, most were in between. For the championship game, I would imagine that the number ordered will be closer to 3 or 4, as more folks try to piggyback off higher priority numbers, and we will get a fairly similar allotment for the championship game as we are getting for Atlanta.

However, people are going to start thinking strategically about which games they can skip in between now and the final, so I think that if you want tickets to the quarterfinals or semifinals, those might be rather easy to get. The semifinals, especially, will be a harder sell as its not on a holiday weekend, and hot on the heels of a potential trip to New Orleans.

I guess you need to buy more season tickets and post them on here like all the others above you on the points.

There will be a few accounts on here who magically have 10+ to sell in various locations

Guess I just need to keep donating regularly to keep my place in line or possibly even move up a little each year. Just can't afford to drop any lower. I'm going to find a way to get the family of 4 to the SEC Championship game.

BTHO Samford!

You seem knowledgeable so I will ask a follow up question

You mentioned New Orleans; I thought the 4 teams with byes got to choose their site if that is true would Dallas also be a possibility ?

When it's a quarterfinal, sugar bowl takes the SEC champ (or big 12 champ if they are ranked higher)

So if we win the sec title, we'll be locked into sugar bowl

Just to elaborate on what tjack16 said, when they went to the current lineup, part of the deals with the bowl games is that they would preserve the conference tie-ins that existed at that time, to the extent possible. So, if the top 4 includes the Big Ten champ, they go to the Rose Bowl, due to the Rose Bowl's relationship with the Big Ten. The Sugar had contracts with the SEC and Big XII when the deal was done, so in years where the Sugar Bowl is a quarterfinal (it's not some year, unlike the Rose) if the SEC champ or Big XII champ are in the top 4, the higher rated team goes to the Sugar. If the ACC champ were in the top 4 (not going to happen) this year, then they would go to the Orange Bowl.

Absent one of those tie-ins, the committee will assign the bowls, giving preference to the highest seeds. If we were to lose in Atlanta, but still be in the top 4, they would probably send us to Dallas as it would just make too much sense, although I suppose there are scenarios where that might not happen, but I won't go into that here.

Thanks for this insight. Dallas would be like a home game for the 12th man!!!! But I'd rather go on a fun road trip. But may not be able to afford to go to ATL, another road destination, and then Miami.....but it would be memorable, just expensive.
