Leaving Omaha today. Below was my strategy for buying tickets as a first timer. I didn't have luck with scalpers. Only talked to 2 of them but they didn't have good seats. With everything digital nowadays it was quick and easier to check the websites and buy there.
The sweet spot was morning of game up until 1hour before first pitch for us. I was only buying 2 tickets for each game and rolled the dice every time. Prices did drop the closer to game time but so did the inventory. Keep checking as new tickets get added last minute and prices drop the last hour.
Ticketmaster has the most inventory but also had luck with TickPick. I also checked StubHub, SeatGeek, and Gametime but didn't buy. Tickets priced low did sell quick. I can imagine the rest of the games will have more inventory with more teams getting knocked out and their fans leaving. Highly recommend club level for any day games. It was really nice being able to go inside a/c. Also there's a bar behind home plate in club level with a good view to watch game while inside. It is a more relaxed experience and wouldn't have enjoyed it if Aggies were playing. Would rather be down in lower level yelling.
