I was scammed.
Avoid buying tickets in this area: (seller created fake account and took a down payment / showed me this screenshot as "proof" of tickets and then deleted everything).

Can't attach images, but they were supposed to be for
Section 117, Row 16 (seats 15-18)

Always buy from ag tag or an account that has some history. If in doubt - use a credit card when paying so you can do a charge back and are protected!

Nope. I screwed up. I posted a "WTB" and they reached out to me. Everything looked legit until I sent money. That's why I was sharing. Wish I could upload pics to help, but I ignored the red flag that I saw because he sent me a screenshot of his seats in 12th man mobile app - with the tickets he was "selling" me. So I went for it.

I am happy to say my second experience went much better - I verified everything and dude sent me a pic of himself with his Aggie ring. Beautiful and easy experience.

There's value in paying a Texags sub so people can PM you when you post WTB.

Even if not, insist they respond to your post so you can check them out.

Sorry this happened. I posted a WTB a few days ago and have gotten several texts. Some of them a bit shady, others seem legit.

I have not transacted yet but would ask that the seller reply to my post on texags or send me a DM to verify before finalizing the deal.

Glad to hear it worked out OP and sorry you got scammed but wasn't the form of payment @danielmornolfak OR to Sandra Patterson a red flag?

I fell victim just last December to someone posting in the Charley Crockett FB fan group selling tix to a sold out show. Cash app'd them and they kept responding they'd be delivering soon and then they disappeared off the face of the earth. Lots of scumbags in the world today and extra extra due diligence is always required now unfortunately.

Watch out for the photo trick - they could easily get a picture of an Aggie and their ring acting like they want to buy posted tickets but want a picture of them and Aggie ring to verify/feel safe…they then turn around and use it as if it's them to scam others….

When in doubt - use the credit card option with PayPal/Venmo etc to protect yourself. It's worth the extra % they charge using a credit card to have more peace of mind .

ha. that number messaged me on Saturday that he had tickets. I asked if the tickets were season tickets and he replied yes. then a minute or so later he messages "are you interested?" I thought that seemed a bit pushy and figured it must be a scammer, so I just told him I'm not interested.

It's a pennsylvania area code. I just called the number and of course no one answers

at 3:50 he just messaged me and said "hey"

Called again and he won't answer.

If you have the guys phone number use peoplesearchnow it'll give you a full name and address, so pd can file charges. As long as he didn't give you a burner number

why did you delete this?

I had 2 reach out through an A&M Club and played along to see if they were scamming then reported them to site administrators. Be careful - watch for dates people join or create accounts!

One was offering $120 per seat for 4 seats on row 14 of Section R (I think that's the right Section). If it sounds too good to be true…

They aren't using their real numbers

Zero chance whoever is trying to scam you will be found by looking to their #.

I thought you identified the person. I didn't want their personal info out there if you did, I can send it to you if you want

Scammers going to scam ... I never by from unknown sources or without an AG Tag. Always prefer PM's with posting history.

I had user jmes25501 trying to sell me some Miss St tickets. Shady AF. Looks like they got banned. Glad I trusted my gut.

be sure and look in the section at the very top of the ticket exchange. The first one titled "Please be careful" look at this years posts before you buy.

If someone texts you out of the blue from a thread that you posted your number on, ask them to post on the thread you created. If they can't or won't ... move on.

You have to ask yourself...if they do not have a TexAgs account, then why are they on the ticket exchange board looking to sell you tickets?
