How long do you want to ignore this user?
Im an intermediate skier and I'm looking at buying a pair of ski's, boots and bindings.

Whats better, parabolic or alpine? Pro's/con's?

Any info is much appreciated

I don't know that you can buy anything but parabolics now. The pros to parabolics is that with the shape of the ski you get a lot more ski for a lot less length which means you don't need a ridiculously long pair anymore.

The biggest piece of advice I can give you about buying equipment is that, at your level, you want your boots to cost more than your skis. By this I mean, buy a nice set of boots and a decent, even used pair, of skis. If you don't have a pair of good-fitting boots, you might as well not ski. And look in to getting custom orthotics in your boots. Your feet will thank you.

the point of parabolics are they help you turn a whole lot easier. i cant imagine anyone buying a pair of skies that arent parabolic anymore. i do agree that if your boot isnt comfortable then its pointless. but just cuz a boot is expensive doesnt make it comfortable. it all depends on your feet. try a whole bunch on.

Also, when you try your boot on, it should be snug, even slightly uncomfortable. The liner will pack out a bit and it will fit like a dream.
