The Brazil National Team will challenge the Aggies on Monday April 12th, 7:00 pm at the Aggie Soccer Complex. The Brazilians are in town training for the Olympics.

There will be some of the World's best players competing Monday Night: Milene, Katia, Spisak, Burke, Monica, Labhart, Formiga, Pierson, Berend, Maycon, Klovstad, Olson, Smith, Rosana, Probst, Maravilha, Krambeer, Echavarry, and Devloo.

I'll be there....will YOU

Yup. Whoop.

Edit: You on the team? Guessing by the one post, the fact that you actually spelled all those names correctly, and the #19 on the name.

Why do you have "Milene" listed as one of the top players in the world???? She is only on the team to give them media coverage because she is Ronaldo's wife. Come on!

That said...go to the game to see Katia and Cristiane! Katia is such a wonderful player and a very wonderful person too!

I wish I could be there.

Boa sorte and Gig'em!

It's an interrogative form of sentence, used to test knowledge. But that's not important right now."

Brazil 5-1. Amanda Burke scored on a penalty kick towards the end of the 1st half. We were down 2-1 at the half.

As I said in my above post.."watch Cristiane" - her line - 3 assists and a goal!

Sounds like our Aggies played them pretty tough...outstanding when you think of how good the Brasil team is. I saw them play our US women in New Orleans last summer and they only lost 1-0 on a late goal. Check out how bad Brasil beats every other country in South America and then remember that our team is a college team. I think we should be very proud of their performance.

Gig'em Aggies!

Aggies played without staring right marking back, Annie Burnett, who broke her shoulder in practice.

Oops, meant "starting" right back, not "staring"

Need a post from someone who saw match. I read article and listened to post-game interviews. Everyone said Aggies played better than score reflected.

Heck yeah- in the last half of the first half(if that makes sense) we kept the ball mostly on offense, and 2 of Brazil's goals in the second half came within a few minutes of eachother- Our defense looked great considering how tough and professional a team as Brazil is!

We played them great...keeping up with them the whole game and controlling the ball most of the time. It was really great to see so many people there..a full house! Just imagine the team with the 11 new players...we should beat michigan, ucla and the rest of the opposing teams next year!

Those girls were by far some of the fastest people (men and women) that I have ever seen. They chased down our girls like they were standing still. Brazil's speed was amazing.

Amen to that. I've never seen such a difference in overall team speed. That being said, the teams appeared fairly even on defense and in middle of the field. I also thought we were more physical then the Brazilians. That being said, that was the first soccer match I've ever been to so I dont know all that much.

Those women from Brazil looked like a set of Clysdales running onto the field. They were huge!
