Not to bring fame to myself , but when we bested LSU in '74 , at LSU, to win the Rugby championship, we all lined up to sing the War Hymn. All the older Ags that we stayed with over the weekend joined in and were a little misty eyed. Now in my older years I understand what it means to relish every win , be it varsity or club sports, and enjoy the pure joy of the athletes. We as Aggies are a special breed of folks.

Some of y'all know I didn't end up graduating from A&M. Rugby and a tiny issue with drinking helped me find my way to UH and now, after a few years in the professional ranks, at LSU for grad school. To this day, the few things that get me to tear up are comeback success stories and the Aggie War Hymn. My wife thinks it's hilarious.
