Does the men's home schedule seem pretty weak compared to recent years to anyone else? We've played some really good teams in the past few years and it just seems like most of those matches are on the road this year.

Just wondering if anyone else noticed the same thing.

I looked at the schedule after your post and can see what you are talking about. The Duke, TCU, LSU, Rice, and Miami matches have been on an alternating home and home basis for the past few years. This is our year on the road with Duke, LSU, and TCU, We have added Notre Dame, Illinois and California this year, and I would expect that they are home and home agreements as well. We will get the Golden Bears here this year and I would suspect that Notre Dame and Illinois will be on our home schedule next year. In any event it should be an exciting year.

the schedule is always tough. add national team indoors to that and we got a top 5 schedule.

I know the schedule as a whole is still tough. I was referring to the lack of quality matches at home. In fact, it seems like we just have less matches at home, period, than I remember in the past.

Realize that some of the scheduling might be in conjunction with what Raven mentioned about the home and home, and with some consideration given for teams that will be attracted to play regular season matches in B-CS in 2005 to better prepare for the NCAAs being here.

From a nonconference point of view in the past few years we have had Pepperdine and Florida on a home and home (and maybe others as my memory begins to fade over time and this point in the evening, as many will attest), but I can assure you that this years schedule is not in any way related to trying to schedule an easier schedule this year...boy that is poor grammer,etc. Coach Cass feels very strongly about scheduling the most competitive matches that can be arranged, and I would put our strength of schedule up against nearly anyone in the country. This should be a very exciting year.

I agree, i think we have a chance to do something very special this year with these guys. also the year after, we shouldnt drop the least bit

the toughest home matches will obviously be baylor who will probably be #2 and Okie St who will be tough again returning their top 5 guys. cal will be a lot weaker this year, they might be preseason top 10, but their lineup is nothing like last year and they should be ranked around 20-30 as the season progresses. duke, illinois, lsu, tu and tcu on the road is a brutal road schedule.

With a tough schedule like that. it is a great chance to be ranked in the top 5. i cant wait

Does anyone know any updates on ill. guys? Amer is gone from what I heard and I saw chris wilson at the futures in austin playing with brian baker, not sure if hes trying out the curcit. Anyone know who all is returning for them?

Illnois lost Delic and Ram, who both went pro. They return seniors Calkins, Wilson, and Stolt, among others. They should still be pretty good, but obviously a little weaker than last year when they were unbelievable.

I did notice that they've signed a kid named Brandon Davis from Austin, TX. Anyone know if this is Tres's brother?

their younger brother blake will be just as good, if not better, if he keeps playing.

Brandon isnt nearly as good as Tres, I think he has more heart though. Little Blake is gonna be a bad arse though.
