I've gotten so used to seeing us win. Wish we had a better shot at the indoor titles.

would appreciate an analysis from the track experts on this board why our team seems to fit the outdoor NCAA meet better than the indoor.

So what should we make of today's results?

One reason outdoors is better for A&M is that Henry has tended to recruit big, strong runners.

They are typically better 100/200 runners than 60 runners. There is also the issue of havign the tight curves and banked track.

There is also the possibility that Henry's training gets better results at teh end of the year as to not burn the athletes out.

I don't think this year is a outdoor vs indoor thing. I think its a down year for the women and the fact that UF is loaded.

The men got hurt by poor TJ/LJ performances this year from SRs along with Mitchell leaving Henry in a bind.

The women have Ruddock and Mayo appear to be injured along with Thomas leaving the program. Places that you would have thought we could score some good points LJ,TJ, and hurdles got almost nothing this year.

Coach henry builds and builds throughout the season, outdoors is what matters and the teams reach their peaks then.

We are having a down year but look at where we are.

Florida should easily win the men’s competition but we are in the race for second place with BYU, Florida State, and LSU.

Oregon will easily win the women’s competition but we are in a fight for second place with tu, LSU, and Arkansas.

In most of our pre-Henry years, we could not even imagine having a chance to finish second in the Big 12 or the SWC. We have come a long way in Track & Field thanks to Coach Henry.

I hope we continue to have many more so-called “down years” because these kind of “down years” will always be accompanied by some “up years” and I love the “up years.”

Reid just took 3rd on his last jump in triple jump.

Now we can move up to 2nd overall if we win the 4x400 or just finish ahead of LSU and FSU. BYU is not in it.

1 Florida 52.00
2 BYU 34.00
3 LSU 30.00
3 Florida State 30.00
3 Texas A&M 30.00
