Tiger's U.S. Open victory on a bad leg/knee, or MJ's flu game where he scored 38 in the Finals and practically had to be dragged off the court by Pippen?

Tiger......

He had to walk about 3 miles plus a day up and down hills and hit precise golf shots for 4 straight days.....

Jordan played for one game sick.

I agree...one game vs. 4 days of golf...I love MJ but Tiger gets the nod

Walking < running / sudden change of direction / jumping / getting fouled

MJ.

He looked like he could barely stand up.

And golf isn't a real sport anyways.

And I'm not necessarily voting one way or the other yet, just throwing this out there- MJ had people trying to stop him the whole night. Tiger's only competition was himself, in that sense.

For me it's tough to decide. One required endurance and mental toughness over 5 full days while dealing with pain and still finishing #1 with no help from any teammates.

But the other looked more miserable, and had defenders trying to stop him and hold him and grab him and scored 38 points. But he also had teammates taking some of the pressure off, you could argue. But obviously NBA basketball is a much different beast than golf. You could argue that the fact that Tiger's feat was accomplished while wearing business casual attire should disqualify him right there.

it's GOLF, dammit! puhleeeez.

playing NBA basketball with a bad case of flu- 10X more difficult.

think about it. In 4 rounds, excluding putts, Tiger had about 160 shots to make. Okay, so you're leg is hurting. But you're the best golfer in the world. You can still make shots on a bum leg, and you can still limp around.

But when you are being defended by some of the best athletes in the world, then to raise yourself above that while being sick....
