The way communist countries deal with the Olympics really is something. 1.5 billion people, and they should be blowing everyone out in everything.
I was reading something about Yao Ming the other day and the article noted that he had been followed by the Chinese government
before he was even born. They had identified him based on his parents' genetics, I guess, and made sure he was going to be a star.
If these guys are doing that in every sport---trying to peg the girls that will be strong but small for gymnastics, etc.---how the hell can they lose?
The rest of the world has to pretty much rely on people figuring out on their own when they're young enough what they have the best aptitude for, then having the means to train and compete.
