I watched Maria Sharapova at the Australian Open. She makes for great eye candy, but she is a GRUNTER! After a while, as a spectator, it gets really aggravating to hear her grunt/scream with every hit of the ball. Way too loud and irritating.

Apparently she was grunting on court at 101.2 decibels, which is similar to the noise generated by a light airplane.

studies have shown grunting while hitting or pitching makes the ball go faster. if it bothers you, then grunt with her!
it make the game much more fun going "uh" or "ahh" every time they do it. if thats not to your taste, act like its pong and make the "boop" noise every hit/volley.
