Just finished Broadchurch Series 2. This show is so good on so many levels.

In addition to the many fine shows mentioned you might like:
Inspector Morse ( classic DCI stuff )
Bletchley Park ( post war adventures of group of gals who had been code breakers )
Endeavour ( recent series that shows Morse as young constable )
George Gently ( more DCI stuff )
Some of this is Netflix and some you have to catch on PBS / Masterpiece
