TexAgs' senior recruiting analyst Jason Howell joined TexAgs Live in-studio on Wednesday morning for another edition of Recruiting Country presented by American Momentum Bank, highlighting the latest news and notes from the recruiting trail surrounding Texas A&M.

Texas A&M has been hot on the recruiting trail, most recently signing kicker Andres Von Der Meden to the Maroon & White's 2027 class. Coupled with an outstanding performance by the San Antonio Spurs, De'Aaron Fox made the TKO Performance of the Week list, among others.

Mike Elko and the Fightin' Texas Aggies picked up a big-time addition to the class of 2027 as Tomball kicker/punter Andres Von Der Meden has committed to Texas A&M. According to Kohl’s Kicking Camps, Von Der Meden is a five-star place kicker and a four-star punter.

With 14 official visitors in town over the weekend, Mike Elko and the Fightin' Texas Aggies had another prime opportunity to put the program's culture on display. While there have been no commitments (yet), it's safe to say the Maroon & White continued to build momentum.

Mike Elko and his staff just hosted their first big-time high school recruiting weekend, welcoming a strong group of local and national prospects for the Lone Star Elite Day on Saturday. Already a success, the weekend produced a commitment and plenty of other positives.
