Eight weeks are in the books for Friday Night Lights as the 2024 Texas high school football season continues on. It's time to look back at the TXHSFB highlights that Jason Howell, Ryan Brauninger and Cade Draughon saw during Week 8 around the Lone Star State.

The Prosper Eagles and McKinney Lions went toe-to-toe in a back-and-forth battle Friday night with defense and special teams setting the tone for both. There were highlights all around, but it was the Eagles who were able to pull away late for a 29-17 win.

On Friday night, Prosper took care of McKinney, 29-17. Following the victory, 2026 Prosper offensive lineman Zaden Krempin spoke with TexAgs about the game, his experiences visiting Texas A&M and his recruitment.

The month of October has been good to Texas A&M, reeling in three pledges, including two from the 2026 class. Prosper (TX) 2025 standout offensive lineman and A&M commit Connor Carty spoke about the Aggies' additions after a 29-17 win over McKinney.

Mike Elko and his staff made it a priority to reestablish Texas A&M as a premier program for recruits in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex and have immediately seen results. The Aggies' five 2025 D-FW commits are the most since 2019. And who knows, there may be more.
