No. 13-seed A&M became the lowest-seeded team to advance to the quarterfinals when they pulled of a 79-72 upset over No. 5-seed Mississippi State on Thursday. For the second straight day, SEC All-freshman selection Sydney Bowles shined, scoring a game-high 19 points.

Sydney Bowles scored a career-high 22 points with a career-best six 3-pointers as the Aggies eliminated Vanderbilt in the first round of the SEC Tournament, 77-70. Needing to run the table to make the NCAA Tournament, A&M advances to face Mississippi State on Thursday.

Texas A&M women's basketball snapped a long losing streak on Sunday when the Aggies took down Georgia at Reed Arena, 75-73. The win was Joni Taylor's first SEC victory, and on Tuesday, she shared the emotions that came along with it as well as a look ahead to A&M's next game.

Texas A&M finally put an end to an eight-game skid as Joni Taylor defeated her former team on Sunday afternoon at Reed Arena, 75-73. After missing the last 10 games with a wrist injury, Janiah Barker scored 24 points in her triumphant return to the lineup.

Back to having only seven available players, Texas A&M's tenacious defense was not enough as Ole Miss rolled to a 57-38 victory over the Aggies on Sunday afternoon at Reed Arena. Texas A&M has now lost five straight games and has slumped to an 0-4 start in the SEC.

Shorthanded once again, the Aggies battled Purdue all afternoon but couldn't hang on in the final stretches as A&M fell to the Boilermakers on Wednesday at Reed Arena, 59-53. Kay Kay Green piloted a late charge with a team-high 14 points, followed by Sydney Bowles' 12.

With only seven players available, Texas A&M defeated SMU, 57-49, on Sunday afternoon in a long-awaited return to Reed Arena. Forward Jada Malone's 12 points led the way for a group of five Aggies that reached double figures in the winning effort.

Looking to extend their winning streak to three games, Texas A&M women's basketball fell short on Sunday afternoon as the Aggies lost to Rice at Reed Arena, 66-58. Despite the losing effort, true freshman Janiah Barker notched a career-high 19 points to lead all scorers

Despite holding a 49-46 lead heading into the fourth, No. 23 Texas A&M's lead soon diminished as the Aggies dropped their SEC opener to No. 19 LSU, 75-66. Three Aggies broke double-digits with Destiny Pitts leading the charge with 18 points and 11 rebounds.

Senior forward Aaliyah Patty had a career day on Monday, recording 20 points and 18 rebounds as No. 23 Texas A&M cruised to a 77-51 victory over UTSA. With the win, the Aggies improved to 10-2 on the season as SEC begins next Thursday.

With a 65-50 win over Little Rock in a Wednesday matinee at Reed Arena, No. 17 Texas A&M improves to 8-0 on the season. Destiny Pitts and Kayla Wells led the way for the Maroon & White, scoring 15 points each.

Texas A&M is 3-0 on the young season and is ranked No. 23 in the nation, but the Aggies still haven't reached their full potential. Gary Blair joined TexAgs Radio on Wednesday morning to discuss how his team is continuing to get better with every game they play.
