Why Aggies everywhere owe Bob Stoops a 'thank you'

DALLAS — Aggies don’t necessarily hold Oklahoma football coach Bob Stoops in high regard, especially when he’s on the opposing sideline in the Cotton Bowl.

But they do owe him a certain amount of thanks. And not just for having the humanity to keep the score below three digits in that 77-0 disaster of 2003.

Seriously, after Johnny Jolly’s ridiculous celebration dance following OU’s gift fourth down failure, could anyone have blamed Stoops if he’d gone for 100?

Those were dark days, indeed.
