Free throws and being dominated on the glass cost Bucky McMillan and Texas A&M a signature victory as the Aggies fell to No. 24 Tennessee in double overtime on Tuesday night. Still, there is reason for optimism as the undersized Ags went toe-to-toe with a ranked opponent.

Excruciating.

With a signature Quadrant 1 road win within reach, the Aggies faltered at the free-throw line down the stretch. On the offensive end, they couldn’t make clutch free throws, and on the defensive end, they couldn’t collect key defensive rebounds off of missed Tennessee free throws.

With that said, here are my five thoughts on Tuesday’s loss:

1. It was a bad matchup for A&M, and they still almost pulled off the win.
