Notes from Jerrod Johnson interview

* Watching Johnny win the Heisman was a surreal experience. It has just started to set in. It is a new benchmark for A&M athletics.

* For Johnny, the Heisman could be the best thing for his career or the worst. He has already won the Heisman, what more can he do but focus on winning games. If he can focus on winning the National Championship, it will be great for his career.

* Recruits can now see that it is possible to win a Heisman while playing for Texas A&M. Recruits will be rolling around from all over the nation.

* Johnny could potentially turn in to the most recognizable person in college football. He is now the ambassador of Texas A&M. To whom much is given, much is expected.

* In regards to the juniors who could potentially leave for the draft, there is a tough decision ahead. When a player makes the decision to leave early, he becomes a full-blown adult. At 21 years old, a player might not be ready.

* College is great. It would not be shocking if the juniors decide to stay. The quickest way for a player to go broke is to become a professional athlete too early.

* While he making his own personal decision to stay for his senior year, Jerrod realized he was not mentally ready to become an adult with all the responsibilities entailed.

* Ricky Seals-Jones will bring something extremely dynamic to the Aggie offense. Players like him will allow the offense to progress.

* To have success next season, A&M will have to advance the offensive scheme because teams will adjust their defenses by next season.
