Joeckel describes feelings on Outland Trophy

On winning the Outland Trophy…

"This is huge. It's a blessing. It's [been] nerve-wracking the whole day, but I just can't say enough about it. It's been a great experience. It's hard to give it to one guy. All five of us at A&M deserve it. I'm just glad to be a part of this team."

On his reaction to the winner being announced as Joel Joeckel…

"It threw me off a little bit. I was kind of hesitant. I said, 'Oh, was there another guy name Joel?' Then [he said] 'Joeckel.' What a great moment.
