Griffin optimistic about Texas A&M

For most high school kids, the summer break is a time to workout and relax without the pressures of school. It is a time to come and go as you please and not make too many plans. But for Derrick, it is his busiest time of year. This summer, the 6'7" dual sport athlete was invited to the Lebron James, Amare Stoudamire and NBA Top 100 basketball camps, while also competing in the AAU basketball circuit and playing in his high school team's 7-on-7 competitions.
