5 Thoughts: Texas A&M 72, Vanderbilt 66

It wasn’t always pretty, but the Texas Aggie basketball team withstood a late scare from Jerry Stackhouse’s Vanderbilt Commodores and managed a 72-66 win Saturday night in front of over 12,000 Aggies at Reed Arena.

1. The Emergence of Andersson Garcia: The Mississippi State transfer didn’t come to Texas A&M with much fanfare. In November, the average Aggie basketball fan could name 10 players on the roster, and Garcia wasn’t one of them.
