5 Thoughts: Memphis 83, Texas A&M 79

While Texas A&M played well in spurts (in the second half), Buzz Williams’ team didn’t have the consistency or the on-court leadership needed to leave Tennessee with a win. And that leads right to my first thought:

1. When the Aggies made a run in the second half, Memphis put the ball in its leaders’ hands and stopped the momentum. Penny Hardaway has two guys he can rely on when the game gets tough: Kendric Davis and DeAndre Williams.
