HOUSTON — The Texas A&M football team officially closed the book on an entire era and waltzed into the "off-season of change" with a 33-22 win over Northwestern Saturday at Reliant Stadium in the Meineke Car Care Bowl of Texas.
It was fitting that the victory came on the last day of 2011. When the clock hits midnight and the calendar turns to 2012, so much of the "old" will be left in the previous year.
Out: Mike Sherman, the Big 12 conference and a 10-year bowl drought.
