Bjork, other decision-makers can learn from history to solve new challenges

The future of college football in the wake of the Coronavirus pandemic could look a lot like the past of college football.

That was a concept that Texas A&M Athletic Director Ross Bjork considered on Tuesday in a weekly press conference in which he discussed what steps may be taken when college athletics resume.

The NCAA has suspended athletic-related activities until at least May 1.

Speaking with reporters via Zoom, Bjork, who played football at Emporia State University, recalled that conditioning once wasn’t a year-round activity that it has become in recent years.
