January 11, 2020

Suddenly hot Texas A&M turned up the heat even more with a convincing 69-50 Southeastern Conference basketball blowout victory over Vanderbilt on Saturday in Nashville. The Aggies (8-6, 2-1) have won five of their last six games and have posted consecutive SEC triumphs.

Freshman guard Andre Gordon scored 15 points and dished a couple of assists to lead the way for the Aggies. Jay Jay Chandler came off the bench to contribute 10, while Savion Flagg and Quenton Jackson both had nine.

"I think the only chance we have to be in a game is to have close to special defensive possessions,” coach Buzz Williams said.
