John Harris on the Texans' heartbreaking loss, A&M's showing at Clemson

September 10, 2019

Key notes from John Harris interview

  • The Texans’ walk-off loss to the Saints was a gut punch. Overall, the offense did good things, but the defense struggled. Down 27-21 with a minute or so left, there was still a shot with what we thought would be the last drive of the game. I was watching from the sidelines looking at Deshaun Watson, who looked roughed up, still like our chances. When Kenny Stills scored, the eruption on the sideline was crazy. It felt like we had won the game, but with just over 30 seconds left, we had to finish and didn’t.
