The idea is to educate his players on the practical, to teach 18- to 22-year-olds who look like grown men on the basketball court the realities of adulthood. Buzz Williams has been hosting these little seminars since he became a head coach 11 years ago. They’ve existed under different names — Life Lessons at Marquette, Tech Talks at Virginia Tech and now at Texas A&M, Get Better 101 — but the theme has been the same: to offer up tips on how to exist in the real world.
