• It shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone that Billy Kennedy was fired. Two Sweet Sixteen appearances in three years was an impressive run and I think it did a lot for the program. But, the job is to win. The job is to have a roster that turns over. I think the firing was necessary. Coach Kennedy did a good job and I’ve heard amazing things about him as a human being, but I think it was time.
