Arkansas defeats Texas A&M 73-71 following late game push

January 5, 2019

Everything, it seemed, was falling into place for Texas A&M.

The Aggies led Arkansas with about six and half minutes remaining. The Razorbacks were in a shooting slump. Their star forward Daniel Gafford was on the bench in foul trouble.

But then Arkansas’ 3-point shots started falling.

The Razorbacks hit four consecutive 3-pointers and then held off the Aggies down the stretch to deal A&M a 73-71 Southeastern Conference-opening basketball loss on Saturday before an announced crowd of 10,049 at Reed Arena.
