On the field: Williams is big, physical and intelligent. He is able to match up in one-on-one coverage, and he has a strong grasp of zone concepts. His range and ball instincts allow him to quickly cover ground in single-high coverage and make him a threat from sideline to sideline. In addition to dropping into coverage, he is also very capable of coming up against the run. He is a sure open-field tackler, and he drives through the ball carrier. Overall, he is one of the most refined, college-ready prospects in the state and an established game-changer on the defensive side of the ball.

Key quote: "Oh yeah, I’m done. The only place I’ll be is A&M. Just talking with my family and seeing how well they loved it. They loved it as much as I did. And just the feeling I had because I’ve been to a lot of places across the country – 'Bama, Iowa, Missouri, Texas – lots of great programs, but I’ve never gotten the feeling I got when I left A&M yesterday. I just knew it was the right place for me, and it just settled me with the feeling I had and my family as well."

Recruiting rundown: Williams was the first 2019 prospect in Texas to receive scholarship offers and was recruited from coast to coast. Early on in his recruiting process Texas, Notre Dame, Arkansas and Stanford were programs often mentioned in connection with the Bishop Dunne standout. As 2018 approached, Texas and Notre Dame were the programs drawing much of the speculation, but when Jimbo Fisher and Mike Elko arrived in College Station, the Aggies surged up his list. After he visited in late January, Williams made a firm commitment to Texas A&M. He announced he was 110-percent committed, and his stance has not wavered.
