Throughout the summer, Desean Smith was contemplating coming to Aggieland to take in Kyle Field's atmosphere every chance he could find. It was unfortunate that his dad had to work last weekend and could not make the drive, but his mother came to the rescue at the last minute. Smith was not expecting to make it to College Station for the Ags' season opener against SMU. He also was not expecting to see the Maroon and White field such a balanced team.
