Billy Kennedy steadfast, optimistic in face of J.J. Caldwell's dismissal

Despite the dismissal and suspension of two backup guards, Texas A&M basketball coach Billy Kennedy on Monday said he expects the Aggies to continue playing well.

A&M, which re-entered the AP poll at No. 21, has posted four straight Southeastern Conference victories. Last week it defeated then-No. 8 Auburn and then-No. 24 Kentucky.

“A lot of things have happened, but I really believe the core of this team is still strong,” Kennedy said.
