Defense in Review: Texas A&M 24, Nicholls State 14

September 11, 2017

• This is an interesting one to break down for the Aggies. On one hand, the defense was cut up for some big plays in the passing game, missing tackles on the perimeter that turned into large gains, allowing a couple of deep balls to be completed down the sidelines and leaving gaping holes in the deep middle more than once. On the other hand, the A&M defense allowed just a single touchdown on the night, gave up just 14 points total, snuffed out and opposing running game for the second straight week, forced two turnovers and nearly grabbed a couple of others and came up with the two quick stops they needed to in crunch time.
