Negotiating a three-month long college football season is like trying to take a long walk through a cow pasture.

It’s so hard to avoid something unpleasant.

Upsets happen in college football. They always have. They always will.

Florida lost to Ole Miss in 2008. Alabama fell to Texas A&M in 2012. Ohio State came up short against Virginia Tech in 2014.

And, of course, there was Mississippi State over Texas A&M last week.
