Breakdown: Justin Evans has the look of a first-round safety

A few weeks ago, I was perusing twitter as I’m wont to do on a day that ends in y. I was scrolling through when I saw a tweet from TexAgs quoting defensive coordinator John Chavis on safety Justin Evans.

Earlier this year, scouting Evans I was convinced he was a top 64 pick in the upcoming 2017 NFL Draft. Watching him earlier this season, I concluded that I was off a bit; he’s a top 32 pick in the 2017 NFL Draft.
