1. Shaking off the rust: After stomping the Baylor Bears, the Aggies had a 10-day break before playing Cal Poly (which included a six-day Christmas holiday). Billy Kennedy knew his team would be a little rusty, but the rust only lasted five minutes.

Beginning at the 15-minute mark, Texas A&M went on a 21-4 scoring run to increase its lead to 19.
