Football Recruiting: '16 McAllen Memorial RB Trevor Speights

Since adding Stratford’s Rakeem Boyd to its 2016 recruiting class, the Texas A&M Football coaching staff has been looking for at least one more back to compliment him. As such, the Aggies hosted two other senior running backs for the Alabama game — including the Rio Grande Valley all-time leading rusher in Speights.

Speights has been on Texas A&M’s campus numerous times since last spring, but before this weekend he had never seen anything like what he saw at Kyle Field on Saturday.

“It was a great experience," he said. “I can’t even explain it. It’s something you pretty much have to experience for yourself. The atmosphere is just unreal.”
