Around CFB: Heisman rankings, Week 2 resume builders & destroyers

Sharing weekly college football thoughts, observations, rankings while realizing Texas fans aren’t really clamoring about playing Texas A&M anymore.

Heisman leaders

1. Nick Chubb, Georgia, RB: He gained the dubious distinction of becoming the first SEC running back since 2005 (Darren McFadden) to rush for at least 185 yards in a game without scoring a touchdown. Still, he averaged 9.9 yards while gaining 189 on the ground in a 31-14 victory over Vanderbilt. That’s nothing to sneeze at. Chubb has rushed for 309 yards thus far.
