Unlike Auburn, Notre Dame and especially Arkansas, Texas A&M did
what highly ranked college football teams are supposed to do against
lesser opponents.
The 16th-ranked Aggies started fast, picked up speed and roared to a 56-23 victory over Ball State in the first game at the renovated Kyle Field.
The renovation of Kyle cost $485 million — and it appeared the Aggies might make a run at matching that score.
A&M scored touchdowns on six of its seven possessions in the first half as Kyle Allen threw three touchdown passes, Kyler Murray one and Tra Carson and Brice Dolezal each rushed for a score.
