Here are weekly thoughts, observations, rankings and wondering whether
Alabama running back Derrick Henry or the Texas Longhorns will score
more touchdowns this college football season.
1. Ezekiel Elliott, Ohio State, RB: Anticipating a big game from Elliott against Virginia Tech Monday night. Why not? Elliott exceeded 200 rushing yards in each of the Buckeyes’ final three games last season — vs. Wisconsin, Alabama and Oregon. A 2,000-yard season is a distinct possibility.

If my Heisman Trophy ballot was due today I’d take:1.
