Down the Line: The Aggie defensive front's new reality

Once a project, the defensive line now projects to be
one of the strongest areas of the Texas A&M football team.
About halfway through fall camp those projections seem even stronger.
Defensive Tackles Coach Mark Hagen indicated he feels the tackle position is deeper than it’s been in quite a while at A&M. Defensive Ends Coach Terry Price doesn’t have as much depth, but his front-line talent has the potential to match with up any team anywhere.
“We’ve got probably eight healthy bodies for the most part. Some guys are banged up right now, but when we’re healthy we’ve got eight guys who can help us,” Hagen said after practice Tuesday night. “Two guys, in theory, shouldn’t have to play 60, 70 plays.”
