Fall Camp Primer: Five Aggies who must take the next step

CBs Nick Harvey & Victor Davis: I touched on this topic last week in the "A&M's key position battles" piece, but it's worth mentioning again. To expect Brandon Williams to make the move from tailback to cornerback and immediately emerge as an every-down SEC starter on the island is preposterous.

The realistic hope would be that the Aggies stay healthy at tailback, Williams make a surprisingly smooth transition and the senior from Brookshire becomes part of a rotation at the position, improving steadily throughout the season. Even if that happens (and especially if it doesn't), the pressure to perform during fall camp falls squarely on the shoulders of returning sophomores Nick Harvey and Victor Davis.
