August camp remains two months away, but the most intriguing quarterback competition south of Columbus, Ohio starts early next week when heralded recruit Kyler Murray arrives at Texas A&M to challenge incumbent starter Kyle Allen.
“It’s going to be interesting to see how everything plays out,” Texas A&M offensive coordinator Jake Spavital said a few weeks ago. “I’m always going to give an incoming freshman the opportunity to come in and compete and try to win the starting battle.
