The 6-1, 195-pound Evans chose Texas A&M quite possibly right before his recruitment was set to skyrocket. While A&M landed the first team all-conference safety over Georgia and Auburn — two schools that found and offered Evans first — SEC West foes LSU and Alabama, in addition to reigning national champion Florida State, all made stops at Mississippi Gulf Coast this week checking in on Evans as well.
