Details of Sumlin's new contract to be ironed out

COLUMBIA, Mo. — Texas A&M Athletic Director Eric Hyman on Saturday night said the six-year contract extension for football coach Kevin Sumlin has been a work in progress and that details would be revealed in the near future.
A Saturday morning news release said A&M and Sumlin had reached an agreement in principle. The contract, which will include a raise to Sumlin’s $3.1 annual salary, must be formally approved by the Texas A&M Board of Regents.
