BATON ROUGE, La. – Death Valley, as LSU coach Les Miles likes to say, really is a place where dreams go to die.
Dreams of trophies, dreams of BCS bowls, dreams of Texas A&M grandeur all perished in a grisly 34-10 defeat to LSU on Saturday night at Tiger Stadium, a venue the locals call Death Valley.
On a cold, hard night, the facts were just as cold and hard.
And the fact is Texas A&M just couldn’t solve LSU’s defense. The extraordinary Johnny Manziel was made to look quite ordinary.
