Texas A&M 56, Vanderbilt 24: Defense in review

Several star in D's first solid showing

What went right: For the first time this season, the Aggies shut down the running and passing game in the same game. Vanderbilt managed just 95 rushing yards on 44 attempts, completed just over 50% through the air and threw three interceptions and gained a total of just 329 yards. Through three quarters — before the Aggies went almost exclusively with true freshmen on defense — the ‘Dores totaled just 231 yards of offense.
