Road Less Traveled: A&M heads back to Fayetteville

According to Aggie football legend, John David Crow drew a hard, cold stare from coach Bear Bryant when he chuckled at a joke before facing Arkansas in 1955.
He quickly realized he’d made a grave error.
“We’d stayed in Bentonville the night before the game and then took a bus to Fayetteville,” Crow recounted in Brent Zwerneman’s book, ‘The Game of My Life.’ “On that bus ride, I laughed at some little joke, and I’ll never forget the look I got from Coach Bryant.
