How about some Tuesday recruiting notes
Brauny will have a few more notes later but we're hearing some good stuff out there todayThings continue to look good with Orem (UT) 2020 LB Noah Sewell, he remains in close contact with coach Peveto. We have also heard more good news on the Kourt Williams II front. All reports from our sources are that Texas A&M continued to help themselves with the St. John Bosco LB and his family. There's still a long way to go with him planning to take official visits to Oklahoma, Ohio State, Tennessee, and then one more in the fall, but the Aggies have put themselves on solid ground right now. The Aggies also hosted Camden (NJ) Woodrow Wilson LB Tirek Austin-Cave. By all accounts the visit went well, and he is a guy Texas A&M will continue to monitor.Sources in Houston have told us OL coach Josh Henson will be making the rounds today. Richmond Foster (Reuben Fatheree) and Katy Taylor (Hayden Conner and Bryce Foster) are both stops being made today, and he is also expected to stop into Clear Creek (Chad Lindberg). Word I've received is things seem to be trending in a more positive direction with Lindberg, but it there's still work to be done. Henson is also expected out in Memphis this week and there's no doubt Chris Morris is likely to see the Aggies OL coach. Another out of state prospect to keep an eye on is four-star Mars (PA) Mars Hill OL Michael Carmody. The Aggies offered in March and in talking to some northeast sources it sounds like the Aggies could get an unofficial this summer.

I spoke with Chad Lindberg...
Clear Creek OL Chad Lindberg made it to College Station yesterday to watch practice and visit with the A&M staff. I had a bit of an update yesterday from a source, but I spoke with Chad directly this morning. Here is what he had to say about his day in Aggieland yesterday. "I think my favorite part of the visit was meeting with all of the current and former offensive linemen up there, especially Erik McCoy.""Coach Henson wants me to really give A&M a solid look, and Coach Fisher says that with A&M's location and situation both academically and athletically, it's the best place I can go.""Yeah I think this visit helped A&M's chances. I like Coach Henson a lot, and it was good to see a practice and talk to players.""I'm still trying to determine and decide on official visits."

TexAgs National Average Rating

The TexAgs National Average Rating is a proprietary formula that calculates an industry-wide aggregate rating for each recruiting prospect. The formula includes publicly listed grades, scores, ratings and rankings by national recruiting services, along with a TexAgs rating. Combining the data provides a rating for each prospect, which is then normalized to fit the TexAgs Rating 100-point scale.

The intent of this rating is to provide TexAgs readers with a comprehensive snapshot of how individual prospects rank nationally.

TexAgs Rating

The TexAgs Recruiting team of Billy Liucci, David Sandhop, Jason Howell, Ryan Brauninger and a host of recruiting interns attends more than 75 games each fall and observes and evaluates every major Texas A&M target, as well as most of the top 150 prospects in the State of Texas. From this evaluation the team draws a rating for each prospect on a scale between 70 and 100.

90-98: Elite state prospect (Four-star)

Considered one of the best 30-40 prospects in the state and a top 250 national prospect. Displays the physical skills to be a major early contributor at the collegiate level with high professional potential.

80-89: Quality prospect (Three-star)

Considered one of the best 100 prospects in the state and a top 500 national prospect. Displays the physical skills to develop into a contributor over the course of his college career. Has the ability to become a professional prospect over time with development.

70-79: Solid prospect (Two-star)

Staff Predictions

The predictions represent which school each staff member believes will ultimately sign the recruit, and the confidence meter represents his level of certainty in that outcome.

Example #1

If the predicted school is Texas A&M and confidence is set to “High”, then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Texas A&M and I feel very certain about that.”

Example #2

If the predicted school is “Alabama” and confidence is set to “Low,” then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Alabama, but I’m not very certain about that.”
