My Three Things
1. I have some 2019 confidence picks - These are not necessarily the guys who I think will commit next, but these are the uncommitted prospect I currently feel most confident will eventually end up in Texas A&M's 2019 class. 1. CB Bobby Wolfe, Houston Madison - The one-time A&M commitment has made no secret that the Aggies remain very high on his list. He is taking his official visits and he will be at Florida this weekend, but whenever he decides to make his decision I like the Aggies chances. 2. CB Erick Young, Fort Bend Bush - Young is a man of few words, but he has been spotted a few times over the last few months in A&M gear. He is also very good friends and 7-on-7 teammates with Wolfe. I see this one playing out in A&M's favor but there is some serious competition from Oklahoma, Alabama, USC, Ohio State, and TCU. 3. DE Marcus Stripling, Katy Mayde Creek - I think I have predicted Stripling to be the next commitment a few times. He is close with Braeden Mowry and the Aggies have a strong pull in the Katy-area. Plus, I just have a gut feeling on this one. I can't really put my finger on it, but I have had a good feeling about this one for quite some time. 2. Baylor Cupp is a bad dude - I know I am preaching to the choir here, but it is the truth. Last weekend I saw the first half of Brock's first 7on7 game, and it is easy to see what drew college coaches from across the country to the little town west of Fort Worth. He already has the size at 6-5, 6-6, and he has the frame to get bigger. He is a fluid athlete and huge target in the passing game. The mismatch he brings to the table is hard to ignore. Plus, he has a blue collar, get to work mentality. There's a lot to like, and he made a big impression last weekend. Below is his first catch from the afternoon. That's some serious YAC in a real game.https://twitter.com/Jason_Howell/status/10003801412211097623. Put Devon Martin on your early 2021 list - Some of you guys are just going to have to stick with me when it comes to talking about these young guys. I am telling you now Mesquite Poteet TE Devon Martin is going to be one to watch at the State 7-on-7 Championships. He is 6-5, 245-pounds and he has no problem going up and getting the ball. Oklahoma and Ohio State both offered this spring, and Georgetown offered him in basketball before his freshman year. This kid has a chance to be special.https://twitter.com/Jason_Howell/status/1000392759772106752And I leave you with a great tweet from Preston Stone and the BOOM! from Kendrick Blackshire https://twitter.com/_prestonstone/status/1000080892902031360https://twitter.com/KendrickBlacks1/status/1000045929213415429
